SEAWEED CULTIVATION ASSISTANT

I am part of the hatchery team. We are in charge to produce the seeded substrate for kelp cultivation since the mother plants arrive to the lab until they are ready to go to Sea. I am also involved in planning and executing hatchery R&D tasks to improve protocols and procedure for cultivation and the environmental quality department (Seaweed Solutions AS)

RESEARCHER

Coast-LaB project (Norwegian-Africa cooperation): “Impact of land-based activities to the coastal environment: Seawater desalination and wastewater discharge”. This position as affiliated researcher at NTNU involves a collaboration on the field work and experiments in Durban in December 2019 and papers writing.

2018-2021

RESEARCHER

MASEQATA project (Chile-Norway cooperation): “Marine Sediment Quality Atacama”. The collaboration role  is enclosed into the WP2. (Inorganic compounds characterization) with sample preparation, processing and analytical
determination by means of ICP-MS; WP5 (Environmental risk mapping) to determine
hazard quotients; and WP7 (Divulgation of project results).

OPERATIONAL COORDINATOR (POSTDOC RESEARCHER)

TrykkCO2 project “Environmental impacts of leakage from sub-seabed CO2 storage” funded by Norwegian Research Council (NRC). This position involved responsibility for planning, conducting experiments, writing scientific reports and reporting changes in the project to the project leader

RESEARCHER

CO2Marine EU project (Polish-Norwegian cooperation): “Impact of potential leakage from the sub-seabed CO2 storage site on marine environment at relevant hydrostatic pressure”. This position involved sampling (for both microbiological and chemical analysis) and supervision of 2 Ms Students.

2012-2014

PH. D STUDENT

CTM2011-28437-CO2-02 project“Mobility and toxicity of metals in sediments due to possible leakage of CO2” funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain. During this position I could develop my Doctoral Thesis.
